Book it in team - the 2022 Honda Kids Camps are back and better than ever. The Power Adventures team is excited to announce the summer dates of 5 camps, along with new sponsors and prize draws that will make these camps even better than before!

Once Again, Power Adventures is the promoter and organiser of these Honda Kids Campouts. They have a level of expertise honed over 20 plus years of camps and event management. The huge team that runs the camps is highly experienced and will help you achieve a fun time at the camp. If you have any queries, call in the Camp HQ and ask the team - they have the answers.

Plus there is are two South Island Camps - Timaru and Waikaia.

Honda Motorcycles

Honda Motorcycles is continuing with the 45 year association with Greg Power and 20 plus years of the Honda Kids Campouts. With renewed interest, Blue Wing Honda and the Honda Dealer network are ramping up their involvement with innovative ideas for the campers including the opportunity to purchase Honda Motorcycles, Honda Generators and more at favourable prices to those attending the Honda Kids Campouts.

Also, every Honda rider goes in the draw to win a Big Honda Pack at every camp. And everyone of any brand can go into a Honda Dealer and have a no obligation 10-point Bike Check done to see if your bikes are up to handling three or four days of riding. Plus, everyone who gets a bike check and brings their stamped check sheet to the camp will go in the draw for yet another prize!

HONDA DEALERS: An again, the local Honda Dealers will be out in force at the camps and will be providing the service you expect such as mechanical repairs, puncture repair and they will have onsite clothing, tyres, tubes, chains, levers, grips, goggles, helmets, boots and much much more to satisfy your needs over the duration of the camp. A visit to the Dealers onsite shop is well worth the time as they will have specials galore.

DEMO BIKES: For the very serious campers, there will be Demo Honda Kids Bikes available to try for size. Just the chance to see if your little champion needs to upgrade to the latest model and/or larger size.

The Honda Kids Camp blew out all the camping spots at Lake Rotoiti in 2020 and 2021 with a lot of families and friends occupying all of the available camping space!

Motul Lubricants

Continuing with the Red theme, another new sponsor has com onboard - Motul Lubricants. This iconic and well known petroleum company produces high performance oils to keep your motorcycles and even your tow vehicles well lubricated and safe from harm. They include all the products you need and will be onsite at the Honda Kids Camps with advice, giveaways and more. Look out for what they have to offer you and your motorcycle.

The Motul Workshops with the assistance of the local Honda Dealer will provide the lubricant needed to make the workshop a success. Motul is also looking at providing a free 20 min Seminar at each camp with a technical person on hand to advise on the right oil for your bike. Here the Bay Honda team are showing mum how to tighten the chain correctly.

Registering is easy with families arriving as early as Wednesday evening for some of the camps.

The Dirt Guide

The Dirt Guide came on board with the Honda Kids Camps in 2020 and this season has strengthened their support.

The Dirt Guide brochure will be available for every family and interested rider. This comprehensive guide features all the accessories and parts you will require to bling you bike and make it extra special. From tyres, tubes, chains, sprockets, handlebars, levers, grips, clothing, boots, helmets, etc, there is something in the Dirt Guide that you will take a fancy. If you are not offered one at camp, you can get one from the Sign On HQ!

Michelin is one of the premium brands of motorcycle tyre and will be the tyre of choice at Honda Kids Camps. There will be tyre changing demonstrations and possibly tyre changing competitions too, plus prize draws at each camp. Come check out the range onsite.

On top of that, O’Neal riding gear has been around for many years with their top quality pants, trousers and gloves. O’Neal is so keen on helping the Honda Kids Camps riders that they are offering a set of race wear for a big prize draw at every Camp. So don’t forget to fill in the registration form at Sign On and drop it in the O’Neal draw box. You could be a winner with a new set of gear.

Of course we The Dirt are back again and will provide videos, podcasts, articles and write ups about the Honda Kids Campouts - right here. Yes we already have been doing this but this season we will also be taking on the coaching aspect of the Kids Camps. We will bring a slightly different approach to the kids coaching, focusing on getting the basics right and building a strong foundation to help with future riding skills.

As an added bonus - An extra session each camp will be hosted for Expert Riders wishing to pick up some advanced skills. This will be an exclusive session for those who want to tackle the most difficult of terrain. You can only sign up for this at the camp and vetting will take place.
