NEW 300CC 4-STROKE FROM KAWASAKI

With the KLX model line blowing up at Kawasaki right now, the Green-Machine launched yet another new model to the world - KLX300R. OK, it’s not technically new as the KLX300 has been around for a long time, but this revamped version has returned the much loved machine back to the fold for 2020.

Kawasaki New Zealand dropped a few videos via Facebook this Wednesday morning, one which included the all-new KLX 300R. They also released the KLX230, along with a 230R which we covered last week, so that is old news guys. CLICK HERE for that information. They also released information on an updated 250F motocross bike - but sadly with no electric start. We will showcase that kick start bike later.

The engine is much the same as the original power plant of old - but with fuel injection added.

The suspension is also much the same as the KLX300 of old, being fully adjustable, except for rebound dampening on the fork.

It’s not light either coming in at 128kgs. But weight equals stability so it should be stable AF. Also the lights have gone from the old model too.

It comes with four different positions for the handle bar which is nice for personalising.

The closest thing to the 300 on paper is the new CRF250F (read about that here). But the CRF is much smaller and with lighter suspension. It is no where near as good as a 250F enduro machine so the 300 might be in a class of its own.

What Kawasaki have done is broaden their trail bike line up that was seriously lacking in the beginner/intermediate adult bike department. The addition of the 230 is a fantastic idea and now with the updated 300R, the future is looking bring for the Green Machines.
